i always secretly wanted to be a model! shame i am too short, too fat and too ugly!

i say secretly because my mum is a bit snobbish so she wanted me to have a middle-class job, she wouldve pooh-poohed the notion of me going for a "silly bimbo job" like modelling. so i pretended i wanted a "proper" job just to please her!

A jockey After I grew too tall, a veterinarian. Didn't have the money for vet school so switched majors, got a BA in Journalism, ended up being a librarian, now am a writer. I think somewhere in there I wanted to be a archaeologist too, funny how life works out in the end!

I always wanted to be a backing dancer on top of the pops! lol Then when i was in secondary school i wanted to be a firefighter and would have took that further but i developed asthma when i was 19 and later found out i also needed glasses for distance.

Kirsty - Snap lol!! I loved Londons Burning and has a serious crush on Glen Murphy who played George Green!! I even managed to do a weeks work experience from school at my local fire station which was brill!!

... and then I read some books about teeth and gum problems and saw some rank pictures that would put anybody off for life... and reminded myself that I couldn't just pick well to do people, I'd have to see some really skanky teeth too... and that just really put me off.

But thanks for the thought Lou I have no idea where my dentist fascination ever even came from but the thought makes me feel ill now.. lol

When I was 7 I wanted to be a cowgirl at a rodeo until I was told they don't make enough money Then I wanted to be a mechanical engineer like my dad, but gave that up quickly for my next dream: I wanted to be a doctor. First an OB/GYN but once I found out that I wouldn't actually work with children, I decided I wanted to be a paediatrician. I was good at sciences too!

Funny how life's turned out for me. I'm a teacher instead
