Hiya girls, I'm new. Just come off the pill. Withdrawl bleed started 11th march. Having been on pill for 5 years I have no idea how long my cycle is?! When should we be having sex and is it true I need my legs up in the air after? Thanks in advance for any replies! X

Hi Toni

I would wait a few months until your cycle is regular again and you can then start charting and testing for ov.

To increase your chances i would recommend BD every other day and yes keeping your legs up in the air is supposed to help.

Thank you. Wish I had the patience to wait a few months. But I'm rubbish. Keep hearing conflicts, some say to start straight away as your really fertile after coming off the pill and others say to wait. Arghhhh and this is just the begining I'm sure

There would be no harm in starting TTC if you BD every other day as you will surely catch the egg. I was thinking more about before you begin trying to chart as i know that cycles can become quite irregular after coming off BC.

Will do. OH's all for just going with the flow and 'seeing what happens' think he'd freak if I started getting out chatrts and themometers. Will see how this month goes then see what's going on with af and keep records. Thanks for advice

Hey toni hi and welcome..... I came off pill in May and got preg in June with my daughter 17years ago so it can happen but like chelly said if your wantiong to do the whole charting thing it might take a couple months for your body to reajust but good luck and hope it doesnt take too long for you xxx

If you want to start ttc this month then i would base it on a 28 day cycle ad BD every other day for at least a week to 10 days starting from about day 10. That should cover all possible ov dates. You could always get some cheap ov tests for your 1st few months to figure out where you are at aswell. Best of luck and welcome to the forum.
