When does baby start showing an interest in playmats, toys?

As above when do babies start showing an interest in play mats, gyms and toys etc?

I have loads of toys suitable from birth but obviously all he does at the moment is eat and sleep lol was just wondering when they start showing an interest.

Angel was about 6-7 weeks before she'd lookat them, and about 8-9 weeks before she reached out for them, but all babies are different.

ollie has some interest in them now but only for a little while then he cries. He has learnt to wack the hanging toys on the playmat which i was surprised about!

Maia was about 6 weeks old when she started taking an interest in her mobile and then soon after she was really into her play mat/gym.

It shouldn't be long just keep trying and playing with your baby to encourage.

2-3 months with Emms. 3 months is a real landmark, a lot of things change then, bab more alert and active etc.
