When do babies need to start going to the dentists?

I would have thought it's when they got teeth but I saw the nurse at the docs this week an she said i need to take her to the dentist

Dunno. I am going in November and i'll take her with me just to get her used to it. I thought it was when they had teeth.

I asked my dentist and he said from the age of 2 is a good time to start. Lucy's been a couple of times and all he's done is look in her mouth and counted her teeth!
