When did you start showing?

Hi everyone

I wondered when people started showing? I know everyone is different but I am currently 15+3 (according to my 12 week scan, but had private scans before who put me at the dates I calculated which would make me 16 today!) and not showing at all, can't even feel my belly going hard yet! When I spoke to my midwife last week she said I should start to feel it getting hard below my belly button as 14 weeks is about the time everything is pushed out of the cervix!

Stressing a little as everyone I know has been showing from about 14 weeks!

Midwives appointment tomorrow so not worrying too much, but it has being playing on my mind!

With my first child and first pregnancy I had a bump at 15 weeks.

With my second child but fifth pregnancy I had a bump at 13 weeks.

Thanks Emily! Hopefully mine will appear soon! This is 1st but 3rd pregnancy. With my 1st I lost her at 16 weeks and pretty sure I could remember having a bump by then!

I'm only 14 weeks but have had a huge bump since 12 weeks, it's actually embarrassing as people think I'm due in a few months, not December..

This is my second pregnancy and with my first I was 20weeks before I was showing x

Hi Belfa!

I bet you've struggled to hide that haha! My cousin was the same, by her 20 week scan people literally thought she was about to drop! I really hope mine pops out soon, but I'm told it will just start growing rapidly all of a sudden! I guess it depends on the baby too if you weren't showing until 20 weeks with your first. Do you think gender has anything to do with it?

I'm 36 weeks 2 days and didn't start showing till about 32 weeks. Even my bump now is tiny. Don't worry. Had scans and she's actually measuring ahead so not worried but I was so worried for ages

I'm currently pregnant with my first child (also first pregnancy) and I'm pretty sure I started showing to other people (other than myself or partner who saw me naked) at around 14-16 weeks. I started to notice a "bump" by about 12 weeks, and by my 20 week scan I was huge.

However, I've heard so many differences in how long it takes women to show. Dependant upon genetics, how many previous pregnancies, weight and size of mum, size of baby etc, whether they're carrying higher or lower etc.

Have a chat with your midwife again tomorrow and get her to feel your tummy and see where your uterus is.
Not to be insensitive, but if you're a larger person it may take a little longer to show or feel your tummy harden, but then there's also the opposite - I've seen some very tiny and slim ladies with barely any bump until they get to the third trimester.

If your scan went well and they didn't raise any issues there, I'm sure your little one is growing perfectly

With my first I didn't have a bump until 20 weeks plus...and it was tiny. This time I'm 17 weeks and have a bump (since about 10 weeks lol) but only when I stand up and after I've walked a bit. My hard bump bit is above my belly button though, and when I sit down its just two rolls of fat ��

DS1 bump was about 17 weeks, DS2 was about 13 weeks, this one was at 8 weeks

Im colossal this time, its super getting me down. I started at 7st9 ish and im now 8st 2 + some days i really think i wont be able to hide it and im 12 weeks. Ive stopped rocking my son in the night, stopped breastfeeding and eating more to stop nausea so its weight not baby.

First pregnancy it took aaaages to be noticeable with clothes in fact at 7 months ish i had someone at work say they didnt know i was pregnant.

I'm 13 weeks with my second baby and definitely showing. It was just bloat for a while but I'm waking with a bump now and it's too obvious to hide! I showed fairly early with my first too.

With my first pregnancy I didn't show until I was about 20 weeks, 2nd and 3rd pregnancies by 17 weeks and I'm just under 14 weeks now and people are starting to notice a little bump but I still wouldn't say I was properly showing

I'm now near to 18 weeks with my first baby. Have just a small bump where people don't actually notice. Had a scan some 2 days back and baby is measuring accordingly so I wouldn't be too worried. ButI hope I will start to show the baby bump soon too.
