when can my baby have proper foods ?

could someone tell me how it all work getting your baby on to food cos my heath vister is crap and dont like talking to them thanks

his has frunt pots and cow and gate pots 4 to 6 month at the min wen do u put him on to your foods x

I put Lacey onto proper food at 6 months and will do the same with charley. I started Lacey on toast, breadsticks, carrots things they can hold and suck and chew! x.

I've also puréed proper food like sweet potato, banana, cauliflower and he eats that now at 3 months x.

charlie 6 month in 2 weeks so i could give him my food them the only thing is will he choke on thing and how will he bite food without teeth lol thanks

I don't know why but I was never worried about choking! Lacey's only ever choked once and she was 3 years old then on a sausage! I know babies have fab gag reflex so I think it's harder for them to choke! Maybe to start off with, give him things that are soft like banana, bread, cooked carrot sticks. They tend to suck and play with the food at first!
