When are you planning on buying baby items?

God all these organised people, I think the list makers should post up some examples for those of us who've not really got a clue what should be on it (...or is that just me). I am a list-maker, I'm sure I waste loads of time at work just making lists but I've never made a baby list!

Everyone keeps telling me to make one so they know what to buy us, that's all well and good if you know what you need! We're on a tight budget (our baby was planned...for about 2-3years time ) so not bothering with things that are not essential.

We've been given a cot than turns into a first bed by a mate. And my boss gave me a brand new mosses basket and car seat that they bought it for their first little girl who was still born at full term good fortune means they now have a lovely wee girl but understandbly didn't want to keep all of the stuff that was for their first. Everyone has been brilliant with us,really appreciate it all. Thin we'll have to do something for all of the people so keen to help!

i bought my first baby items today, what an adrenaline rush it was being nervous scared so excited all in one i got a starter pack of sleepsuit vest hat mitt and bib, and a bottle warmer with a couple of bottles it was such a reality check but brilliant, i know i have 4 more days til im 12wks but i just had to

Hi girls,

couldnt sleep, so just beeing on pc, anyway am 5 weeks preggy and guess i'll start buying baby stuff
( and i havent event really thought of it) But i'll wait till am at least 6 - 7 months i havent count in weeks yet
it's all so wierd.. it's my first.

I had a naughty little look around mothercare today-had to be careful incase anyone I knew was in there wondering what I was doing drooling over the prams

There seems to be so much more stuff available than there was 7 yrs ago when I had my son, wow Im gonna love shopping!!!
