Hi

We packed ours yesterday, its huge but then again they are unsure whether I will need a c.section so I have packed for a 4 days and DH has packed as they have advised that he should stay with me.

I was planning on packing mine when I go on maternity leave - that will be 35 weeks....Now I'm worried that may be a bit late but we are now decorating the nursery and I wanted to get that finished so I could get all the baby / labour stuff out and pack my bags in there.

i always packed mine when i was 36 weeks plus with all mine, only because my mum kept nagging me

i did mine about a week ago... (35 weeks)
Theres a bag for me and a bag for baby!

I was gunna do it when i finish work for maternity this weekend, but i keep having dreams that im gunna have baby early (LIVIN IN HOPE) so packed it early JUST INCASE!!!!!!

I'll be packing mine arounf 35 weeks, not planning on puttin gto much in there though, i want to be at home within 6 hours and if not i'll get my dad to bring me in what i need.

I packed mine about 37 weeks then unpacked it at 38 because I wanted to repack it with new stuff. When I went into the hospital I had nothing with me but my labour was so quick I didn't have time to pack (I had Evie at 38+4  )

 I was a tad embarassed cause I had to leave the hospital in my PJs that I'd gine in wearing! (It was 4am that I went in and I thought they'd send me home again! )

think I did mine around 34 /35 weeks-I dragged the whole process out for weeks tho and only finished it last week!

I am planning to get my bag packed this week. Getting a tad anxious I go early so I want to be all prepared!

I packed mine at 32 weeks as I was bored! I have a bag for me for labour, a bag for baby and an overnight bag as well as I'm being induced at 38 weeks and I might need to stay in a few days.

A good tip that I got from here was to put a little draw string bag in your labour bag with 1x nappy, 1x vest, 1x sleepsuit, 1 x hat and 1x scratch mitts, that way you can get LO dressed right away and not have to worry about taking baby bag in as well as labour bag. We are going to leave it in the car and DH can get it later on so we can bond with baby straight away.

I've been buying stuff gradually for my hispital bag over the last couple of months, and will get round to packing it in the next couple of weeks - that said, I am bound to unpack and repack about 10 more times thereafter.

xx

I will probably do mine around 33/34 weeks just after my birthday as I'll be asking people for like things for my birthday :) (25th June) Like some nice PJs and slippers etc as I have none. Plus OH gets paid again on 24th, so he can buy my some bits too!! :)

I started mine the other day as I had a mad panic in the early hours of tuesday morning that I might go into labour... and had nothing..... I now have a couple of freebie nappies and a bag of cotton wool balls.... I'm sort of waiting til after my baby shower this weekend before I buy clothes etc as i don't know what I may get...

I can't wait to pack mine. Probably will do it around 35/36 week's because the nursery wont be done for a couple of week's so I'm not washing any baby clothes until I can put them away in the nursery. I suppose I could get my thing's ready now but I think I'll wait and do it all together.

I keep thinking about it but not started yet. I got some lush maternity pads the other day so at least started buying for it!

Quick question...

How big are your bags? I have a weekender bag from avon that I plan to use, but I doubt it will be big enough, I don't want to walk into the hospital looking like I'm going on holiday for a fortnight though.

I had two bags last time, one for labour and then one for the ward. Both were largeish sport bags. I kept one in the car and when I got transferred after the baby was born my dh went and got my bag out of the car.

HUGE!

They aren't sure if I will be in for days, the physio has suggested DH stays with me so we have packed for a week! (I would be so worried DH would pack unsuitable things if I sent him home to get me stuff :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Wow Moofa you are lucky - no men allowed on the wards at our hospital.
