Alastair goes to bed every night at 6pm he is so rdy for bed, for the past 5 nights he is waking at 10ish for an hour and ive been just going giving him his dummy, then he wakes again at 3ish so i try putting his dummy in a few times, so i take him in with us, and he just is not settling

The only way i can get him to sleep is to sit him up in my bed, weird i know but its the only way he will sleep, so i normally give in and feed him at 5.

I just dunno what is up

Ive been going to bed every night at 830 cos im just sooooo tired its like having a new born in the house

Hmm, how is he going with weaning? It could be that he's hungry for more solids? Or could he be teething? My guess would be the food because of the timings- were they the times that he used to have feeds? How about naps? Is he sleeping during the day ok?

He doesnt sleep well during the day, if it was the fact that he is hungry should i just give him a bottle???

its not his teeth im sure of that

I don't know really- is he eating well during the day? Did he used to have a dreamfeed/late night feed? He might be going through a growth spurt I guess. I think I might be inclined to try feeding him some milk when he wakes at 10pm then seeing if that makes a difference to the rest of the night. At least then you'd have a better idea of why it's happening...?

Chez he may be storing up in time for a growth spurt normally round the 6 month mark they have one dont they, i think alfie is about to have one too as he has been waking early too, wanting more feeds etc, he hasnt been waking crying just waking, and not going off ntill he has something to eat, i can also usually tell when hes about to have one because he looks very very big as in chunky then just out of no where lengthens.

I thought it was because he wanted more solids but it got to a point all i was doing was purely feeding him solids and milk allllll day and lo and behold he would still wake! he had an hr and a half nap this morning then fell asleep again an hour later which made me think thois was the sleep part of the growth (alfie binges for a week then sleeps for a week)

I dont know for sure hun but its what i would say it is! love to you all hun

He eats well during the day 3 meals and 5 bottles from about 4-5oz each time in bottle, i dunno what he is up too

It could be that he is hungry if he has previously been sleeping through.
