lasagne? my mum is coming for tea tonight and im doing lasagne. i was going to do home made roast potatoes and some veg. does this go ok? any other suggestions?

i would serve garlic bread, or cheesy garlic bread, salad chips with lasagene

I would do some garlic bread and some nice lettuce leaves (the fancy ones you get in a bag) and baby plum toms, shave some parmesan over the top and dress lightly with balsamic vinegar and a drizzle of olive oil...........mmmmm perfecto!

Just lasagne and a good salad with some garlic bread maybe for a side dish.

Never pots and veg as lasagne is a meal in itself and already has loads of carbs with the pasta and veg/meat in it also. Just needs something simply to bring out the flavour :)

I agree. Lasagna will be so "heavy" that any other heavy food such as potatoes and vegetables will only make it seem like you've eaten a brick. Garlic bread and salad are light foods and compliment lasagna.

By the way, I'm Italian (or half Italian, if you want to be specific) and if you want a good recipe for lasagna I can provide it for you (or anyone else who's interested). This includes tomato sauce and besciamella sauce. PM me.

I always do fresh green veg - brocilli usually and boil it for just 2min so it is nice and crisp :) If I made garlic bread i would be so carbed out I would sleep for a week!

hmm this is making me hungry.. defo garlic bread and rocket leaves
