Basically i started TTC December 2017, going by purely OPKs at the time, and knowing what i know now likely December 2017/Jan 2018 were 2 months where didnt "try" properly so to speak!

In Feb, March cycle had 32 days and ovulation day 20 and day 17.
My BBT during this time wasnt taken particually accurately for Feb i would attempt to take it always at for example 6am regardless of if woke and tossed / turned gone back to sleep, tho this made my timing 100% accurate i may or may not have been fully rested, in March i did a similar thing. However April i started taking BBT at first instances of waking up , i started needing loo during night so i would take BBT 1am/3am/5am/6am whenever that was, it was my most rested time for sure but timing was definately "off" however having done a little test this morning the bbt decline in temp would have been the same regardless of time, so i took bbt at 4am this morning down 0.3f at 97.42, and i took it also at 7am after lots tossing turning and based on same timing etc from day before bbt was 98.14f down from 98.42 day before.. so in a way.. is it accurate to do that even tho isnt totally resting? hope i am making sense here..

going by this months cycle tho my main question / problem is my bbt pre ovulation was 97.52f ish.. after ovulation seems to be 97.80/90 on average.. is this "too cold" is this why i have failed in conception so far, this is 5th month ttc? thank you

It can take much longer than that to become pregnant. I was the same when I started, thought it would be very quick but its actually hard and the possibility each month is not that high. In your 20s you have about 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each month. If you are over 30 only 15% each month and the older you get it obviously falls. Most people fall pregnant within a year but it can take a long time so 5 months is not that long even if you do everything right.

If you are worried I would run some tests. How old are you?

xx

Frustrating though it is it can take much longer for no particular reason. As stated above the % each month isn't huge and that's only if you hit the right days and everything goes perfectly.

I am 31 now was 30 just turned when we started TTC.....we are now onto cycle #13 soon. Have started basics tests and everything so far all ok.

Sorry to disappoint but this can be a long game x

Hi guys, next month rather then having a regimented plan for when to dtd decided im ganna let hubby choose hahah cause why not..? He will likely chose every other day anyways.. I just wondered if my temps r "too cold" really 97.50 pre ovulation 97.80/90 after on average.. if too cold how can i help it?
Also, anyone heard of or used maca root?

No it's not too cold. It takes an average of 6 months to conceive. From what I've heard maca root often messes up cycles. I have similar temps...asked a fertility doctor and he said they were fine. Every other day dtd is good. You need to dtd for a few days before ovulation.

hiya 5 months not too long, you should give it 12 cycles. I am nearly 40 and 10 months in nothing with OPKs and all the right timings. My chances are even lower now compared to you. And I also believe it's mostly down to luck. fingers crossed for you x

Yes just keep trying, early days for you at the moment, docs won't do anything at your age until you have been trying for 12 months. Good luck!x
