What was your expereince coming off the pill?

Hi

I stopped the pill in June and am now waiting for AF's to return. I know this can take a little while, no time at all or ages! I am also having really weird symptoms like cramps for a few days and then they go, then come back etc with brown (old blood) CM for 1 day! (took test just incase and was BFN).

Anyway I was just wondering how you were when you stopped the pill - symptoms, how long af took to return etc etc - just thought it may help all us in this boat to hear people stories rather than what the text books tell us!

I think everyone has different experiences.

I came off the pill once a few years ago and had the mother of all AF's, it lasted five weeks so I went straight back on the pill again.

This time round my body sort of fell straight into a normal 27 day cycle. So 2 completely different experiences. I have been told it can take 6 months to a year for your body to really get on track. I was on the pill for 9 years.
