Hello, my name is Stacey and I've been TTC for 2 years now.
Me and my partner managed to fall pregnant at the beginning of the year, however on 5+3 weeks we suffered a miscarriage. Our joy lasted all of 4 days, but those 4 days were the best days of my life.
We've had all our tests and we are both fine, but why isn't it happening again?!
We are due our consultation at the end of October to start treatment, but I'm feeling apprehensive, I'm not sure what to expect with treatment and if it will be successful.
My partner has mentioned to me that I should accept the counselling they offer, so that I can talk about our miscarriage instead of bottling it up, as I still find myself getting upset 9 months down the line.
I'd just like some advice from anyone who has been through the treatments and some positive vibes about them sent my way.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. xx

I've heard the counselling they offer helps so you should take it if you can, I never took it myself as it wasn't really convenient with our clinic an hour away and I didn't want to be around the clinic where both cycles failed for me.

The whole process of ivf does seem quite scary but it becomes a bit of a breeze.
I wish I could tell you of a positive outcome of treatment from me but we're still waiting for our rainbow!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been through the same as me. I'm lucky that our clinic is only 20 minutes away. I thought I was coping fine, but my partner thinks it would be better for me to talk to someone to get it all off my chest, there's no harm in trying is there.
Is there a lot of hospital trips involved with IVF? My partner suffers with anxiety so this is an added stress for him and as wel as worrying about myself, I worry with how he will cope with the whole process, I was hoping it would just happen naturally but we've had to accept that we need that extra helping hand.

Thanks, just seems never ending I hope we get our babies one day xx

There is quite a few trips as they need to check how you're reacting to the medications. At these it's just an internal scan to check your follicles usually a very short appointment so not too much time out of the day. Your partner is not needed at these so if you're okay with going alone you can do so.

The long term board here has a thread of other ladies going through ivf and iuis you'd be very welcome there if you like xx

Thank you, very useful to know.
Oh brill, I shall have a look for that thread, that may answer many of my questions, and always good to hear how other women have felt going through the treatments.

I have my fingers trightly crossed our miracle will happen for us both very soon.
