My baby girl is now 10 weeks old, but I'm still not certain I've got her night time clothing right! Tonight she is in a long sleeved vest, a sleepsuit, wrapped in a crochet blanket with another light one over her and tucked in. Our thermometer says in between 18-19 degrees in the bedroom. How does this sound?
She seems ok, never sure if it's too much or what. She's a baby who never really seems to be cold!
Thanks,
Hannah

I would say that's ok if she doesn't feel warm. To be when our nursery is 18 degrees it feels cold and Lucie has never slept well but she hates blankets. So she had always slept better with it a bit warmer but minus the blankets. Every baby is different, if yours feels fine temp wise and is happy that's the main x

Depends on your baby! My lb would find that too cold :)

My lb room sometimes goes to 19 but had also hates blankets and is happy just in a sleep suit and nothing else!

Sounds good to me. We found out at a young age that my boy hated sleeping bags.

He has long sleeve vest, sleepsuit, fleece blanket and a baby quilt! .. temp usually around 18

It totally depends on your baby, my lo would find that too hot, but he's a really warm sweaty baby, haha. Just touch her chest or back to see if she feels too hot or cold. I remember worrying about this constantly when Leo was little x

My little sweat monster hates being too warm she has a vest and a sleepsuits, with a fleece wrapped in a sheet. She always sleeps with her arms out of the blanket, most nights she will kick it all off .

I found worrying about layers quite difficult when the weather started getting mild. My LO just wears long sleeved pj top and trousers and then I put her in a sleeping bag. I started putting her in sleeping bags when she was around 3 months as you can get 0-6 months ones plus you don't have to worry about them kicking blankets off etc which my daughter did ALL the time lol x

I think my little girl would be too hot in that! I usually put her in a long sleeved vest, a sleepsuit and wrapped up in one blanket. If I think the house is too warm then I'll put a short sleeved vest on instead of long sleeved. I really worry about her overheating! I'm sure I read somewhere that its whatever you are comfortable wearing at the time plus one layer, I've been going off this and she seems perfectly fine all the time xx

Ollys room is anywhere between 17 - 21 degrees ( we live in a cold house) and he seems fine in a long vest, sleepsuit and a 2.5 tog bag. Last night I checked on him before bed and his room was 17 degrees to I just tucked a cellular blanket around him and he slept soundly until 7am

xx

My LO would be extremely warm in that but he is a very warm babyy. He's in a vest, long sleeved pjs and a 2.5 tog bag, if it's very chilly at night he'll have a large, folded fleecy blanket over him so he's still able to kick it off in the night if he gets too warm. I second checking his chest and/or back but get your hand right down to the middle of where you're checking - the neck area is always a little colder due to being exposed (I didn't realise this for yonks!).

.

our heating goes off at 9pm, and my 11mo lo wears just a sleeveless vest and sleepsuit, and either a thin fleece blanket or cotton cellular one - that's been it all winter!

my 5 year old daughter wears just knickers, and has a 9tog duvet, lol.

Our nursery feels cold at 18 Callie prefers 20 degrees. Our house gets cold really quick so heating on timer. When little short sleeved vest, sleepsuit and one sheet and blanket. If needed wrapping I never swaddled only wrapped under arms. Baby's move their arms to cool down if too hot. After 6 month used sleeping bags still in them at 18 months. I didn't introduce a baby quilt until 1 year old. It is trial and error to get right.

We have a warm baby and our bedroom is usually 18-20. She wears a short sleeve vest, sleep suit and a cellular blanket. We've also lined her mattress with a fleecy blanket to help her sleep. She is more than warm enough in this.
