What kind of names do you like?

I like a bit of both, although more toward original oldie worldie i think
If Rosie was a boy, she would of been Noah James, and as she's a girl she is Rosie Constance... So very oldie..

I like a bit of both but nothing unheard of. Not into picking my own made up names :)

I dunno, my girls choices were really unusual, boys are more traditional and very popular xx

I like names that are unusual but not too weird! I thought Freya was quite rare, but since we had her I seem to have met/heard about a lot of Freyas! Also her middle name is Rose, after grandmothers on both sides, and apparently that is becoming more common too :(.

Will have to try harder next time!

I've heard Freya recently but not many in real life and yes Rose is really popular now but what you can do is what my mum did with me.....

I HATE my name.....I remember saying to her 'why couldnt you give me a nice name like my sister? (Ashley)' and mum said 'when I picked your name there were hardly any Lisa's.....you'll notice they are all younger than you because they copied off me' ALL the Lisa's I know bar one are older than me......nice sentiment though mum!

I didn't know anyone called Caitlyn in real life. I got the name from my friends neice's middle name  The only other one I'd heard of was Wobbles' Caitlin. I didn't want a name all my friends would want to use. Now I know 2 Kaitlyn's, a Paige-Caitlin and a Katelen in real life.... All younger, go figure

I don't like new names like McKenzie and all of that.... I'm into old names at the minute, but I do like "Ava" and names like that, which are new to me?

ava's a really old name toria! i'm having doubts about amy now, dunno what i'd change it to!

grace. i really like niamh and olivia, which he HATES (only cos he cant spell niamh lol). but i'd feel mean changing it iykwim?

I really like Grace. Olivia is nice too and I like Libby for short. It's funny because Niamh doesnt seem hard to me but I worked in a Catholic school full of Niamh's! I always loved that name too.

Wait till she comes and see what she looks like :)

I like uncommon names rather than unusual. Although now i know lots of Kian's and Niamh's!! Typical! I do get a bit fed up of having to spell out both names though, especailly Niamh's name. Niamh often gets called Niomi? neemah? and Niam? People (mainly doctors!!) rarely get her name right!!

Alice just a word of warning! My Niamh is a tinker (messes in everything 24/7!) We went to tumble tots today and met another Niamh (spelt Neve) and she was a tinker aswell!! We were laughing and agreed it must be the name!!

For me it's traditional, yet unusual names. I'm half Scottish, half Irish so went with a nice Gaelic name for Niamh.

Names I love....

Niall
Jasper
Dexter
Giles
Tristan
Piers

Elspeth
Hermione
Emilie
Eden
Constance
Penelope
Harriet

I don't think the above are particularly common at all, but it's nice that they are so traditional.

i love niall! such a nice name! i'm really stuck cos i have really gone off amy!!

I love Hermoine but OH wont entertain it because of Potter.

Luckily Hermione is OHs top choice for a girl, but he likes Tristan for a boy and I would have put a few of those names before Tristan!

When Rosie was born, i didnt know anyone with her name choice, not its so common.. GRR

My brother is called Tristan, and he hates it! He INSISTS you call him Tris, or else you will probably get a whack! I love Jasper and Eden off your list. :)

I love Jasper, but OH hates it as we had a horse called Jasper once. Only had him for 2 years though, and that was years ago.

i adore Hermione! when pregnant i thought i'd go for a shakespearean name, like maddi was nearly regan, and i adore cordelia.
