Grr do they think that they have a licence to be rude or to scare you with horror stories?

In the queue at the bank the other day and I lifted my toddler into the pram, she was dead on her feet, and an elderly woman behind me said - "you don't want to be doing that, you'll wrap the cord around the child's neck and you'll have a stillbirth."

Thanks very much for condemning my baby and blaming me for it...

The cleaning lady at work looked at me the other day and said - " My gosh you're big. When are you due? Are you sure you've not got two in there?" I replied in the negative, there is only one baby. She said, " I'll tell you, that's a huge baby, you'll feel it when you're having this one. You'll know you're in labour with a baby that's that big!"

Thanks very much for condemning me to a difficult painful birth.

That one actually upset me a bit. It's not like I've done anything to her and surely she knows it's insulting?

At least so far I've avoided the people who walk up to you and start mauling your bump!

Sue

    what a load of codswollop i don't know about lifting wraping the cord round babys neck but it sounds like a load of s**t, but i have been told aparently bigger babies are easier than smaller babies, my mum said i was the hardest (i was 6lb) and one of my brothers was the easiest born at 9lbs  and a few people have told me simalar so you never know :D ignore the negative commonts, mabe give them a snardy commont in reply :D

also who's to say jsut cas you have a big bump our having a big baby, i was massive with both james and emma and i had 7lb babies and this time i'm massive but it doesn't mean baby is big  some people

Ah, the classic. I have honestly lost count of the amount of time divs have said this to me. Just say 'Well it was obviously a very, very long time ago since you had babies (works even better if the woman's only 40 ish  ) so you must have forgotten how big these bumps can be!'

I mean, you'd never walk up to a non-pregnant stranger and say 'Gosh, you're a fat ******* aren't you?'

Rude, rude....RUDE! I can't believe some people have the audaciy to even comment! As if we haven't got enough to worry about! :x

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: In these situations I really wish we could! x

It's so rude that people think they have the right to comment on you and your size/appearance/what you're doing . As I'm not pregnant and never have been I can't express how it would make me feel, but really, what Minxy said is right!! People are so rude - I don't think they realise just how much it can get to you. :wall:

hahhahahaha wish i could say the fat b*****d one! lol

i get it ALL the time at work! shoudln't cross your legs, shouldnt stretch, shouldnt do this, shouldnt do that! it irritates the f**k out of me to lol

i get the classic "sure there ent 2 in there" ALL the time! cos i have a fairly big bump already at only 16 weeks! but i think its due to the fact i was only a size 6 when i fell pregnant so its showing earlier than normal.

just wish some people would keep there nose out!!! we know what we are doing and are quite capable of protecting our unborns ffs! lol

and the bump feeling, ive decided to buy a t-shirt that says "HANDS OFF MY BUMP" coms im sick of people having a conversation with me while rubbing my belly!!

next time someone does it im gunna rub theres while having a convo and see how they like it lol

I feel sorry for these people, just think they have nothing nice and happy in their lives and the only enjoyment they have in their sad little lives is inflicting misery on others, just think how much luckier you are than them.

Argh.. why do ppl say "are you sure there are not 2 babies" when your like 20 weeks etc? Don't they realise you would have found that out at 12 weeks? Its nto as if your going to scratch your chin and say hmm im nto really sure no...

And the whole cord thing is just a rubbish wives tale that is probably more superstitious than a tale  what a horrible thing to say to a stranger
