WHAT HIGH CHAIR?

I've been given some gift vouchers for mothercare from work... wanted to choose a high chair but i don't know what type to go for... i want a chair that i can use as the baby gets older and push up to the dining table to eat with us... do i got for a wooden one without the tray (how old does the baby have to be to go in this type - don't seem to be suportive) OR do i go for the plastic padded type with the tray? you can also get ones that break down into a small chair and table - good for breakfast time!!!!

advise needed on high chairs pls

We,ve just ordered the Stoke Tripp Trapp from mothercare. I liked it as it goes against the table so baby can join in the meals. You have to buy the baby harness and cushion seperate. Seren is 6 months old and is getting too big for her bumbo, she is sitting well on her own so will be fine in the chair.

We have bought one like that too. I got it a few months ago - a gorgeous John Lennon one from eBay.

I remember using mine for many years into my childhood, and feeling really grown up having my own little table and chair!

It is brill 'cos it goes to a really low chair and reclines right back if little one falls asleep

thanks girls..

i'm off to mothercare today to choose one! I have the stokke pram and baby carrier so was thinking of going for the high chair too but then i saw a seat that can be fitted to your own dining table seats for when the baby is big enough to eat from your dining table... and join you for meals.

keely i like the wooden one that turns into a seperate table and chair... i was thinking of getting that one... my mate puts her little boy in his in front on the telly in the mornings with breakfast - she can then get dressed in peace. He loves it.

We got our highchair and I love it. It looks great and is really slim so doesn't take up much room. Seren loves it too and really enjoys sitting at the table. Really recommend them.
