what formula and why?

Im a big fan of cow and gate and used it with my first child and had no constipation, no sickness nothing that was out of the ordinary.

And have used it with Imogen and no problems either, it is expensive but I dont mind paying for it thoughas there is no alternative for Imogen.

it is stupid how expensive it is...i suppose when they are tiny you dont go through much but as they grow you use a tub a week.. thn add nappys to that lol..i also used cow and gate with charlotte and had no probs.. eds had cow and gate from cartons up to now when he had topups..and hes bn fine on it to..

had mia on cow and gate at first but didnt seem to fill her so were on sma now and have no problems :D

I used SMA gold in hospital, then switched to cow & Gate comfort because of Reflux, then eventually I switched to Hipp Organic which IMO smells and tastes much nicer than most formulas, and as you say is cheaper!

The packaging is not very user friendly at all!

I asked Hipp why their formula was so much cheaper and their answer was that they wanted their product to be competitively priced and to make organic formula available to as many people as possible.

I use SMA, gold top first but blue top from around 5 months. The reason is because while i was still in hospital the MW told me after 24 hours with no sucessful boobie feed he needed formula for calories. She said SMA was the closest to breast milk. At the time I intended to breatfeed so chose that.

he had sma in the neonatel unit and spent the next day throwing it up so went onto aptamil , which im still using along side breast and expressed . got told this was the closest one to breast milk and great for newborns who dont breast feed . his poo is more like a breast feed baby then formula and he has about 3 formula feeds a day .

Used aptamil in beginning but made him constipated. Changed to cow and gate and had no problems, that was thanks to the lovely ladies on here win offered me advice
