For all the breastfeeding mums what food do you think causes wind in your LO?

I had falafel with hummus the day last night and I am convinced that that may be the reason why LO was restless and had problems with gas last night...

I've also heard that you should avoid too much citrus fruit...

I ate some spicy potato wedges and mexican style beans when Kate was about 5 days old. Big mistake.

I had dinner with a lot of garlic in it one night and I'm sure it had a really bad affect on Emms - bad wind all night. Fallafel and hummous have lots of garlic in, so might be it?

Garlic, rich foods, veg, salad... Im really sensitive to food (I have IBS) so think thats why she is too.

Thanks for your replies. I better stay away from falafel and hummus then :(

garlic & ginger in our diets are actually supposed to help wind in our LO's... i'm not convinced though. my hv told me off for eating too many vegetables though and said that they were the cause of connor's problems. do you reckon that's my excuse to live off chips instead?

I just put 1 clove of garlic in my food instead of 3 now!!! :rotfl:
