So husband told me when I got home that the docs had called and I needed to call them back.

I called them but it wa after hours so they told me to call back tomorrow.

Now I had my bloods taken at my 34 week midwife appointment on Thursday and it took forever for her to take blood. Do you think hhere is a problem or do you think they are gonna make me do bloods again cos that batch was usless due to her taking so long?x

Could be anything. Usually (with my Dr's surgery anyway) the Dr doesn't call unless there is a problem or the bloods need to be taken again. I'd go with the latter though, i'm sure there is nothing to worry about x x x

Well I suppose it could only really be about iron levels or re taking bloods. Though don't test for anyhing else do they?x

Not unless they say to you no. I think the next Full Blood Count is at 36 weeks to check for everything. Have a look in your yellow maternity notes, if the midwife took bloods for anything other than iron she will have written it in your book.

Although, I can not recall a time when I have had bloods taken for anything other than Full Blood Count or Glucose Tolerence Test. My urine is checked at every appointment, but I don't have bloods everytime unless it is for something specific. Did the midwife/nurse take your bloods specifically for iron or was it to test something else? You'll have to check your notes hun...x

They probably didn't collect enough blood or need to give you some iron tablets xx

At least it's nothing serious or the doc would have told your husband so it will be nothing to worry about.

yeah i would think its either because they need to re-do them ormaybe iron levels are low but dont worry if there was anything seriously wrong they would have stressed for you to go back today or go to hospital. so dont worry hun.xx
