Well apart from most of them in my town being extremely un-organised, usually always late for their own appointments, giving me wrong dates, making me lose my benefit because of their mistakes and just being generally 'up their own arses' some of them are really nice. One in particular who helped me with my case lately even gave me some benefit tips regarding my pregnancy He also gave me some proof that I could show at my appeal to prove that one of his colleagues made a mistake which caused me to lose my benefit. Now he remembers my name and always asks how I am, he even waved at me the other day in the job centre

I'd quite like to work there, I 'specialize' in reception work and office work but I'm currently unemployed and looking for work. I'm a computer geek at home instead.

Tbh the ones i had to deal with where i used to live were useless.. the people here are so helpful my sister is self employed and the maternity pay forms were driving her mad.. they were so complicated, and a very nice guy sat with her and went through it all and gave her some really good advice! Id feel good working in a place like that, helping people etc

Me too!
I guess it varies in every town. I've had some help off some really nice people though.
My parents are getting some brilliant help off someone from the social at the moment too. She's lovely and really cares about their case, she even hugged them when they won the tribunal a few weeks ago. It's a shame people above her are being useless though, they're really messing my family about and upsetting my parents, she's trying to sort it out as best as she can though. I'd love to help people like that! xxx

It's the useless ones that give us all a bad name but believe me sometimes even we wonder how the hell they got the job! And it's the good ones who get it in the neck for the bad ones.
I personally love my job but I suppose it works both ways, people who can't do the job and people that know how to work the system & let the whole thing down and it's usually the ones that need it more that suffer

I've been modelling for the past year, nothing big or fancy (or dodgy lol) but enough to put a little pocket money in my back pocket, I've had to put that on hold though as what I was doing (Art Nude, Alt Fashion etc..) there isn't a big calling for pregnant models and photographers have cancelled shoots when I've told them I'm expecting

So unemployed at the mo but I'm going to think of it as early maternity leave lol x

I've been offered a fair few tfp maternity shoots but can't afford the travel to where they want me to go I have a friend, who is a tog, that lives pretty close to me and he has been pestering me to do a Demi Moore style shoot. I'm not really into it as I think it's been way over done already but we have been mulling over a few more original ideas and some of them sound like they will be awesome if they work! Waiting to get a bit bigger before we try though but I am really excited already! xx

Im a full time mum problems with my kids 'dad' left us in a hostel and no money/work so i had to be on benefits for a long time quite embarrassing really but we had no other choice.

not embarrassing my dad left my mum when we were little and she had to go on benefits and i can tell you, as i know better than anyone, she is the best mum in the world!!!

Im a hairdresser in a busy salon and do the training also coping ok so far but not sure about later on with the twinnies on board! Since collegues found out about pregnancy it's been easier so I don't have to explain myself taking lots of breaks and they r doing alot for me! At least it's a flexible job for wen I do go bak to work! Great thread x
