what do you call it?

af has loads of different names. what do you call her?

One close friend says she's "got the painters in" I say aunt flo or aunt irma

I call her the witch but my delightful DH calls it dead rat week

Witch or AF for me, though I used both those to a friend the other day and she looked at me blankly, I said you know womens things, she replied In a very serious tone ohyou mean periods!!

I dont know why but I find it weird when people call it by its proper name!!!

To normal people i say Im 'On', to my OH, its either theres a war on , or theres a mousey in there!!!

While I go for the much more subtle AF or 'on', by partner has a few other suggestions:

"so your gushing like a guiser?" (if thats how you spelt it!)
"red rag week"
"Im not getting any so neither are you" weeek

My husband calls it the same thankfully, there are some awful expressions on here

I call it by all names: the old hag, AF (learned AF through forums), period, menstruation, red river floweth, monthly visitor.

My DH asks if I'm on my red period Sounds better in Dutch though
