It's me Again...
Can someone enlighten me as to what:
1) measuring 24cm at 25+3weeks means. Is that small??
2) my placenta is on the back of my uterus? Is this a good thing?

For some reason i think the placenta being on the back of my uterus sounds like a bad thing?

x

hey hun ur placenta being at the back is a very good thing and quite normal, it's also called a prosterior plancenta opposed to an anterior placenta which is at the front and doesnt actually do you any harm but can stop you feeling LO! 24cm is the size of the placenta so ur growing normally for ur week hun well done! xxx

I think your bump size is within the correct band for the gestational age (1 or 2cm either side of how many weeks is the norm i think)

a posterior placenta is completely normal. Better to be posterior as it is often easier to feel movements as if it is anterior kicks can be muffled a bit. Also I read that the babies like to face the placenta so if it is anterior then your baby is more likely to be back to back in labour which = more painful. Not sure how true that is. I don't think you have anything to worry about hun x

Yay!... sounds good then! lol... posterior placenta may be the reason for baby having it's bum to the sonographer on the last scan and why movement is constant pretty much!...
Woo hoo!!... xxx
Im NORMAL! for the first time ever!!! :) ha
