What do people think of Fox?

Lol we couldn't do sol as that's our local takeaway lol , still there's Sol Solar Helion syrus soliel sirius that all mean similar or names like aiden if I recall right that mean sun but are a bit more normal

My first thought was 'Fox Mulder' from The X Files..

It's a tough one, the name is nice, but people will probably think you got it from the TV show, even if you didn't. My friend called her daughter Hermione, so of course even though the name existed before the Harry Potter books, everyone assumes she did it because of Harry Potter... (I think she actually got it from the film Hermione and the Angry Inch).

I tend to look at names in terms of..... fast forward 25 years, is this going to be a good name for them to walk into an interview, shake the interviewers hand and introduce themselves.... Fox is probably fine for that, but I've heard some names where you'd have to grow up to be a very confident person to stand up in front of an audience to give a talk and say "Good Morning, my name is Aubergine Peel"

Yeah I agree! I'm trying to think of the child facing snide remarks over his name but then I'm thinking surely people should be teaching their kids not to be judging others on their name! Hmmmm xx

We liked anya and Erin but with our initials the choice between AWW and EWW was obvious lol

I love the name Fox! We gave my son an unusual name, almost talked ourselves out of it as worried about reaction but glad we stuck with our own opinion! We both have traditional parents so think this was part of it.

I like Fox! Then again I love one syllable names and those that end in an x! Thinking of Jax for a baby boy name ourselves.

I really like the name Jax aswell. Think the problem I'm going to have is I like so many names going to be really hard to decide! With my 1st agreed with my hubby that he could choose if it was a boy and I could choose if it was a girl. This time round it's my choice boy or girl

I love Fox! I have a friend who called her twins Fox and Dex.
If I had had a boy, it would have been on my list!

My friend's son is Cohen & I love it. I'd never heard it until she said. I think they go together well.

Lots of mixed responses from people we know, some say go for it, some just say ergh it's horrible!

We're still no closer to choosing! Lol

I love it and think its really cute for a child. Im not 100% sure what I would think if I had a manager called Fox and if it was me I would worry that he wouldnt be taken seriously. It is totally up to you though but he can always be Fox to you as a nickname!! Xxxxx

What was on your girl names list? I need some major inspo. So far all I have is Goldie. I have a daughter named Aria, who was going to be Summer but didn't look like Summer once born.

I absolutely hate River Song (the character from doctor Who haha) so that would be a big no no lol although I do like Lake, OH doesn't.

There's only really one girl name I absolutely LOVED and that was Luna, which we used with our daughter. Girls names we had:

Beau
Esme
Elise
Isla

I love Aurora but think I'll stay away from A names since we have an Aria my son is Kaelan he was meant to be Hunter. Took me 4 weeks to name my son and 6 weeks to name my daughter. Don't want to take that long again.

Rain is another boys name? So hard isn't it!

OH doesn't like that, I also like Winter for a middle name and he hates that too.

I told the lady in the baby shop today about 'Fox' and she hated it. Everyone hates it & it's getting tiresome now. X

None that I really love. With my daughter I loved her name and knew that was the one as soon as I heard it. We had Fox for a boy back then, too.

Honestly can't find any other names that come close. I like Casper but being due Halloween, my OH is dead set against it. Because of the ghost! Lol x
