what do i do about slap cheek.............

My 3yr old has really red blotchy cheeks with a bity of a rash on her neck and back. does this sound like slap cheek to you??
Also if it is, what can i do? just dose her up on calpol?
She is fine in herself, she isnt unhappy and she is eating and drinking fine it is just a little worrying to look at.
Any advice would be great

Hi hun, my son had this a couple of years ago, and to be honest, I dont remember exactly, but can tell you that it is not serious, that the doc just gave him calpol and drink liquids. I seem to think that was all. She will be right as rain in no time. If it gets any worse tho, I would get her checked out at the docs just for peace of mind.

thanks very much for your reply. took her to docs in the end cause the rash got worse.......so she is now on antibiotics.

Arianna had it earlier in the year... she was given Piriton and Calpol from the doctor along with Double Base Cream as the skin can dry out easily
