This is my 9th month ttc... I have had 1 annovulatory cycle so far and suspect i am on the way to my second in 9 months :(
Back in April i had no clear thermal shift, but 2 positive opks.
This month i have no positive opks and it isnt getting very late now cd: 18.. and they are so negative there isnt even a line of the result line
I have done my usual time testing on opks as well.. with a 1.5-2hr hold before this was enough & i got all my positives previous doing same method.
Im just really upset now to be honest, i have sore nipples as well and it isnt helping situation. :'(

Aww hun, an anovulatory cycle can be due to a lot of things. If you're under a lot of stress, your body can protect itself and not make you fertile as to not get pregnant. If you're overweight, have thyroid issues, hormonal imbalance, pcos, underweight, all those can influence your body and fertility...
Anovulatory cycles just happen sometimes and because we're listening to our bodies more, we notice it, whereas it never was an issue before TTC.
Hope you get to catch that egg soon hun!xx

I think they can just happen to anyone too. Temping isn't a good indicator though. My fertility doctor didn't believe in temping at all. The best indicator you've not ovulated is that your period is light. If you don't ovulate then the wall of your womb doesn't build up (it is the discarded egg sac that triggers the hormonal shift so that the womb prepares itself). If your period is normal then it's highly likely you ovulated.
