The Snail and the Whale is the best kids book EVER.

I know it off by heart

we also like the very hungry caterpiller and various dinosaur books :)

:rotfl: The Snail and the Whale is one of Reece's faves, I hate reading it, its so long! This is the story of a snail and a humpbacked whale..... hehe

ACTUALLY it's

this is the tale of a tiny snail and a great big great blue humpback whale... the sea snail slithered all over the rock and gazed at the sea and the ships in the dock.

We read anything and everything :)

His favourite at the mo is a little card book with animals in and he always goes to the duck ones and goes wacwac...

Also one called Just Like Daddy that I searched forever to find. It's sort of a touchy feely book inside too like suedy bits in it.

We have one that was in our book pack too that he likes, it's about penguins.. and we bought him a nice Thomas book but he just flicks the pages and points at Thomas, he doesn't really get the point of it like he does with the others.

Oh and his favourite just after his birthday was a talking book that SarahLJ/Slinky got him, it was a normal book but down the side it had buttons that said words and I'm convinced thats how he learnt to say shoes.. (doos). But he pressed the buttons too enthusiasticly so it;s slightly broken now, still works, in a fashion.. lol

But yeah, we read everything :)

I agree the Julia Donaldson books are by far the best ones we have discovered. My son LOVES the Gruffalo, the Monkey Puzzle, Room on the Broom and the Snail and the Whale. We read these over and over again to the point we all know them word for word but tbh we never get bored of them, I like them myself :shhh: I have just bought him the Stick Man for christmas so will see how that one goes down...

Away from Julia Donaldson tho, he also loves Going on a Bear Hunt, Guess How Much I Love You and all of his Fireman Sam/Bob the Builder books!! :D

Reading Talia the mr men and little miss books atm. They're actually really funny and interesting I think I like them more than Talia!
