I love reading to Calleigh and she loves it too (well i think so  i think she just likes to turn the pages)

What do you read to your LO?

Looking for some more ideas to expand our little book collection :)

At the moment Dan is loving Dr. Seuss books.
If I have to read green eggs and ham one more time, sam I am  :rotfl:

He also loves the Mr men and the Diego sound books.

I used to love green eggs and ham, always used to ask why my ham wsnt green lol Im reading flo harry potter ( just an excuse to read it out loud in bed with all the voices put on  )

But also got her some magic roundabout books for when shes starting to read, as theres a charcter called Florence, and i remember my favourite book growing up was Emily, purely because it has my name in !

And she has my old guess how much i love you, that i bought for £extortionate at my first school book club :)

Arianna loves me to read her a book at night. She has Dora ones, Disney Princess ones (Little Mermaid is her fav at the mo), she also has some personalised books. She also enjoys the Beartrix Potter ones

I am really trying to find a set I had as a kid and I am sure they were a ladybird set

Touch and feel Halloween...

... come and join our halloween party, feel my smooth velvety cloak... touch my rough beard if you dare....feel my scratchy sack top.... this is my cat stroke her fur carefully... feel the pumpkins waxy skin... would you like these halloween treats!"...

over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and.... well you get the point...

When Reece was a good bit younger he loved the 'Thats not my monster....train.....dinosaur etc you get girly ones too.
They're textured ie...'thats not my dinosaur, he's too bumpy' :D

Brody loves these too and we have just got him the That's not my Santa and That's not my raindeer ones too :D

He loves most books to be honest but his favourites at the moment are lift the flap books like spot.
He also loves all the In The Night Garden books.

Ooh i have been looking at the Dr seuss books, found a boxset of 20 books for £20 which seems quite reasonable.
She does love the touch feely books so also looking at the 'thats not my' selection - wow there is quite a few to choose from :)

I've bought Finlay Mr Men books and OH is buying him Roald Dahl

Finlay just likes eating the pages

Julia Donaldson book are the best!

Stanley is a bit obsessed with The Gruffalo at the moment, and I love Room on the Broom and Snail and the Whale.

He also loves The Tiger Who Came to Tea (a childhood fave of mine) and The Little Mole Who Knew it was None of his Business, a great story all about POO!

I love reading books to Stanley, it helps the frustrated actress in me. Apart from 'Flat Stanley', he loves that cause of the name but it's a bit boring after the 1000th read.

During the day we read his board books, I love Kipper and things like that. Also ds is into colours and counting at the moment so we have to point out everything on the page! ds is another big fan of the 'That's not my...' books - we have lion, reindeer & snowman.

For his bedtime story we always have a proper book on the go. We've done Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter, Wind in the Willows, Brer Rabbit, various Roald Dahl stories and he's getting the Thomas Treasury for Christmas so we're looking forward to working our way through that.

Green Bean gets read whatever his Big Sister of Doom pretends to read him  it really is very sweet!
THere's a little seat in between his cot and his BSofD's bed that either DH or I sit on and read one of the BSoD's maaaany random books. She loves anything as long as you let her help read!

I'm with you on that Minxy! Tom LOVES the Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child. I LOVE the Julia Donaldson books. We have The Smartest Giant in Town, Night Monkey/Day Monkey and The Snail and the Whale too and Tom loves them all. They're so well written and great illustrations.

He also loves the In the Night Garden books (he is Pinky-Ponk obsessed) but I hate reading them. They're so rubbish!

I read to Tom every night before bed and during the day too. If he had his way, I'd read to him all day. He loves his books!

Julia Donaldson, Janet & Allan Ahlberg, Roald Dahl, Jill Murphy, Micheal Rosen (she LOVES Rabbit Foo Foo) anything by these folks!
