I've had loads of info come from c&g aptamil ect but all the signs they have said harrys been doing for a few weeks, I.e sucking fists not taking full naps, and rooting to be fed all the time, yesterday harry fed so much he made himself really sick, I have already tried him with an organix fruit puree pot and he loved it, he also is fascinated by food he tries to grab anything we eat like bananas! I'm wondering whether I should strat trying to wean him?

Hv said not to until he's 6 months but if he's not satisfied on just my milk anymore I don't want him going hungry?

I wanted to wait until Henry was 6 months before I weaned but we r starting BLW tonight.

He is fine sitting in his rocker at points in the evening, but for te past 2 weeks has whinged constantly from the moment we start eating to when we finish. He grabs at food & is transfixed when he sees someone eating. U literally can't get him to break eye contact.

I spoke to staff at the weigh in clinic & they agreed I could start weaning. They like babies to make it to the 19 week mark (not sure why!) as a minimum.

They just said to take it very slowly as his tummy still isn't completely ready but I know he will just probably play with it instead if actually eating it.

The signs I was told to look out for was siting unaided (Henry can't do this properly yet tho), showing an interest in food and being able to put something deliberately in their mouth.

Hope this helps x

Tapatalking so can't see tickers :(

Joshua was the same, grabbing out at my plate of food and staring at me when I ate. I started weaning him at just over 5 months old. He started taking to it really well and I was so pleased but over the last 2 weeks, he has stopped eating and just wants breastmilk again. He is teething again though. He already has his bottom 2 teeth and I think his top 2 are trying to make their way through so i don't know if that is the cause for him to stop eating.

Just try with a couple of spoons of baby rice with baby's usual milk and see if he will have it. I think Joshua is going to be one who likes BLW more. It is just trial and error at this point but as his mum you know best so do what you feel is right hun.

Good luck xx
