Joshua is 8 weeks now and still can't fully support his head himself, only found out about tummy time a few days ago by looking on here, HV never mentioned anything about it!

Just wondering whether he is behind or it is normal for his age?xxxx

I think every baby is different with these sorts of things. Ella has always had a really strong neck hours after she was born she was holding her head back, but I can't remember exactly how old she was when she was properly supporting it.

If you are worried speak to your HV but my cousins LO was about 4months before she fully held her own head xx

Emily still isn't fully supporting her head and she's soon 4 months. :-(. We're getting better, but still a bit wobbly! X

Brody took quite a while :) xx

On a website it said that normally it is around 12 weeks but every baby is different!!

8 weeks is very very early. Don't forget there's holding a head up and holding it up steady. Don't worry too much about when you hit milestones. Tyler has been sitting for a few weeks (so 'early') but when it comes to rolling (which he should be doing) just doesn't want to know lol!

I think Jack was around 4.5 months when his head was steady.

Alyssa still has wobbly head lol. she holds it fine but wobbles when moving it
