I've had such a crap day, I really cant wait to climb into bed!!!

1st whilst I was at work, I had a call from school, my son had been in a collision with a car on his way home from school last night and the guy was saying my sons bike had done quite a bit of damage. He called his insurance but his excess is £1000 so they advised him to contact the police. However, he didn't he called school this morning hoping to get my contact details!! School refused to give him them but agreed to pass on a message saying he wanted me to call him and give him the money to pay for the damage, he wasn't going to call the police as he knows it was an accident, he just wanted his car sorting! However the girls at work told me to call citizens advice before calling him, who told me to hear my sons side first, then see how we felt (whether we wanted to call police or so on) but not to make any arrangements with this guy! Turns out he clipped the back of my sons bike and drove off  thankfully he wasn't hurt but has several witnesses to what happened! So we now have to go to police station in the morning!

Then I had a meeting with my boss which turned into her lecturing me as I hadn't completed all the tasks she set me , please bare in mind after my appraisal I went on sick till end of August and haven't done many hours since returning!!

Then I decided to stop of at my grans on the way from work to seeing the midwife, nipped to the loo and found a small amount of blood in my knickers  I wiped myself and there was a bit on the tissue too! But then it stopped! Mentioned it to midwife and she said if I bleed anymore I have to call maternity unit straight away!
Whilst there she asked me if I had my results back from GTT, I told her I hadn't so she said if I hadn't heard it must be good, but she would chase them up. Turns out they are not good and there is need for concern! I now have to wait for diabetes midwife to call me to arrange to see me :( I also had glucose in my urine! Baby has also gone from measuring one week behind to one week ahead
She agreed with the doc that I saw yesterday and thinks I am coming down with a virus again as my BP was low!
However there is one plus, my iron levels are good, so still don't need any tablets!!

Sorry for a long boring rant ladies, just been one of those days :( x x x

:(
I know its difficult hun but try not to let it all stress you out! The guy who clipped the back of your car hasnt got a leg to stand on so don't worry about him.
Have you got long until you go on maternity leave from work? Just keep thinking to yourself...not long to go.
And I'm sorry to hear about the blood, I'm sure baby will be fine though, just means even more so that you need to keep stress free and put your feet up a bit.
:hugs:

Oh Di  Hope you're ok. What a day you've had. You just it easy mrs and get hubby to look after you. Take tomorrow off work. You and bubs are more important.xxxx

Oh what a poop day  try to relax this evening and calm yourself  all of it can be sorted out xx

Blimey Hun, not a great day. But now that all these issues have been highlighted, it should mean solutions canbe found.xx

Thanks ladies :hugs: Yeah I'm hoping tomorrow after a visit to the police station it puts an end to it. Have had strict orders off hubby to calm down and rest! Wouldn't even let me carry a bag in from car  Olive i'm not back in work till Monday, she wanted me to come in and do extra hours training on Invu and Siteline, I refused! Told her I would do that when I've had LO, she didn't seem happy! However I have to get the leaflet done by December :(
Sadly my maternity leave doesn't start until 23rd December

Thanks again ladies :hugs: x x x

 I can't believe that driver is trying to make you pay!!! x

dont worry about the accident honey x did he stop to see if your son was ok??

he cant make you pay and if you report it to the police at least its on file from your sons point of view, dont contact him again if he contacts school tell them to tell him to contact the police direct. as a school they wont be able to give out any details about you or your son.

hope everything else settles down and have a calm day hun

xxxxx

No hun, he just drove off! The police said that in its self is an offence!!

Thankfully I ignored the teachers advice to just pay it as it was the easiest way and listened to the girls at work and called citizens advice, so not had any contact with the guy at all and the police have told me to keep it that way, they will be doing the contacting him part. Police have also advised me to make a complaint against the teacher as he wouldn't listen to my sons side of the story, which left me in a right state of worry and also my son! He walked in from school crying bless him x x x x x x

That is awful, I cant believe he just drove off without checking your son was ok. Makes you wonder if he is actually insured himself. Pretty big risk to drive off though and then contact the school if he isnt. Hope you get it sorted though xx

The guy sounds strange to me.... why did he take time to note of the school your son went to but not get out and speak to him, see if he is ok? And why should you pay his extremely high excess? He agreed to that amount probably to save money its not the pedestrians problem if they damage your car because you hit them! What would he plan to do if like me you had no spare money? Especially so close to Christmas!
If he was so worried about his car and thought it was your sons fault he should have got out, asked if he was ok, asked for your son's name and to speak to his mum or dad, then spoke to you then and asked if you wanted to pick him up or something as there had been a small accident. Your son could have denied all knowledge of been there and what proof would he have apart from a boy that goes to X school?
Why did he think saying he didn't go to the police as if its doing you a favour? He is the one at fault for driving away even if it had been your sons fault... and its not like the police are going to prosecute a 13 year old for accidentally hitting a car :S:S
Sorry for the rant but i'm so mad i'm happy the police think its his fault too he could end up in a lot more trouble for driving away than just fixing his car! x

We don't have the money for it, that's what sent me into a huge panic yesterday. After having another conversation with the arrogant school teacher this morning, the guy is claiming he stopped and Conner just smirked at him and rode off!! Conner has several friends that all saw the guy drive off, Conner stopped! Its just so confusing as to what actually happened! The police are now involved, so hopefully it will be sorted, just not coping well with all the shit all in one go, if you get me??
Thanks again ladies, your the best :hugs:

Even if your son did ride away... you still don't pay for the damage done in an accident as a pedestrian.. otherwise everyone would need to be insured for walking! He is an arse the police will soon sort it, as for the teacher put in a complaint because at the end of the day its nothing to do with him so he should keep his opinion of what happened to himself unless he was an actual witness.
Hopefully once the police tell the guy he can't charge a thirteen year old for damage on his car he will leave it.
I told Dh what was happenings and he said that even if your son had run up and put a brick through his window on purpose its not up to him to try get money off your son or his parents it would be up to the police to prosecute and then up to a judge if a fine was issued.... but has your son is not at fault and didn't vandalise his car with intent no police would even arrest or try to do anything to your son, they would get the driver done for causing the accident anyway... and even if your son had ridden away then he should have still reported it. xx
