What a crap day

It was my grandads funeral today and it was just so awful

Don't get me wrong the service was lovely but just the day was horrendous. I hate seeing my stepdad so upset, it was just nasty

Am glad to be home and in my pjs.

I need some hugs if there is any going spare? (feeling sad and hormonal here)

Hi Kina, sorry i missed your post yesterday...... ....hope you managed to get a good nights sleep it is hard to see loved ones upset, its natural to be affected by such a loss, Be kind to yourself hun x

Well I got a call just after I logged off last night, to say that there had been a fight at the wake. I knew it was coming, but still sad. My grandad had 6 children, 3 that live locally who did everything for him before he died and 3 that lived further away in Bristol and Wales. The people that lived further away didn't bother with my grandad whilst he was dying and felt it was the duty of the people that lived close by to nurse him. There had been a lot of inappropriate comments flying around before the funeral and the ones that lived further away were unhappy that the casket was closed so they couldn't see my grandad yesterday (it was 12 days after he died!), they even rang the undertaker to ask for the casket to be opened for them. If they were that bothered about seeing him why didn't they come down before?
Anyway alcohol plus bad feeling don't equal a good time! My sister ended up battering a woman who really deserved it to be honest (she was attacking my stepdad) and lots of things were being shouted around including things about my aunties affair right in front of her kids.

Sounds like I have a right rough family!!

Anyway am glad I wasn't there to witness the fight and I feel bad for my grandad.

At least everything is all over with now

i went to a furneral the other day she was a distant member of the family so i didnt no her. but it was still heart breaking.

well todays a fresh day and a fresh start. atleast your grandad was in a better place by the time it all kicked of im sure he was in heaven just looking down rolling his eyes at it all
