On Saturday I spent about 2 hours going through all the boxes/bags in the attic and I dug out all the baby clothes up to 6 months, bedding, car seat, pram accessories, toys, bottles (even though Im going to bf but just wanted them out, just in case), steriliser etc.

I've started treating the clothes in Vanish (some of the whites are stained a little yellow from the milk) and washing them. I can't believe how well that Crystal White stuff had bought them all up - no more stains, everything looks as good as new :) We have absolutely loads of neutral and white new born stuff which is great. I had forgotten just how tiny Lennon was too, the clothes are so cute

I've also striped the cot-bed matress (it had an unzippable cover), car seat, buggy, cot bumper and have washed all those bits and pieces too.

We just need to get some help now to get the big stuff down, cot etc that I can't help DH with and then we should be able to get the nusery all set up, can't wait!

On the down sid though, I think I over did it (especially as I was out for my bro-in-laws birthday on Saturday night and didn't get home until 1.20am!! Dirty stopout, I know ;) ) and my sciatic nerve has really been playing up big time!

Feeling very pleased with my achievements though!!

Wow total mission! Bet you're glad you kept everything though?
Very organised :good:
I'm over there soon and know I'll be wiped out by all the partying  x

ive still got to get dummies, nappies, cot, matress, matress for moses basket, fitted sheets for both, couple more bottles, baby monitor. not sure bout clothes i may have enough, no rush still a while to go for me lol. then ive gotto start washing and sterilizing everything and get my bag ready but did all that too soon last time so waiting till bout 34 weeks this time

Wow sounds like you kept alot of stuff.

I got rid of all my baby stuff. After such a traumatic birth i'd said I would never have any more, only took me 6 years to change my mind! If im lucky my parents might have kept the white crib. Also have a very old silver cross pram that we'll use if it can get done up - its totally gorgeous but a bit old looking. Apart from that everything else will be getting bought new.

:)

I'm so glad we kept absolutely EVERYTHING - all the clothes, shoes, toys, bowls, cups, cuttlery, walker, bath, cot, steriliser, bottles, teats, avent freezer cups, weaning cubes, change mat, wardrobe, change table, crib, nappy bag, sun umbrella etc. The only thing I stupidly got rid of was my electric breast pump - I sold it to a good friend of mine, I have absolutely no idea why and by the time I asked for it back she had already sold/passed it on to someone else. I don't know why I didn't just lend it to her and ask for it back when she'd finished?! Idiot!!

My MIL is buying us some essencials - she's already bought 3 boxes of newborn nappies and 6 packs of huggies wipes and she's coming over again at the beginning of July and said we'll go and buy some more stuff!!

So now I literally only have a couple of bits to get - muslins (Lennon got attached to his and kept them as comfort blankies so we don't have any spares, just the two very worn and threadbare ones he still sleeps with!) and bibs (haven't found Lennons old ones yet but may still come across them). And a breastpump but I was chatting to my bro-in-laws daughter-in law (if that makes sense!!) and she said shes got one that I can have which is great :)

Princess81 - When are you over? I hope the weather is good for you. I wasn't really looking forward to going out on Saturday as I just thought I'd be the fed-up, quiet, sober one but I actually had great fun and felt fine.

Roxane 1985 - I know we've still got ages to go yet, I just like to be organised!! Plus I couldn't remember all the things we had and just wanted to see what we had and what we still might need.

Littlemiss - I love Silvercross prams, they are worth a fortune too. They are supposed to be amazing to push.
