Went for dating scan and...

.... the radiographer was HORRID She was so blunt and rude and she really took the shine off the whole experience for us. We got to see the baby's heartbeat and of course that was amazing but she was so unapproachable we were both too scared to ask for a piccie!! Why do people like that work in these jobs?? Grrr... I think I will tell the midwife of her when I go this afternoon... hope she's nicer or OH will be delivering this baby I think!! Lol.

Still don't know exactly how far on I am... apparently I'll get a definite due date at next scan in bout 5/6 weeks. Anyways, thought I'd just have a rant!!!!!

Oh no that's terrible! Did she not even offer you a photo without you having to ask? What a witch! You rant away all you like - that's just wrong! Grrrrr

What a total cow and i'm so sorry she ruined what should've been a fantastic experience for you both. I'd put in a complaint about her ~ bloody nhs!!

Nope... no photo, no 'everything looks healthy', just a very brief and dry explanation of what we could see on the screen then a "wipe your belly" ... didn't even say goodbye... we just had to guess that wiping my belly meant get out

It was amazing to see the heartbeat but like I say she sort of took the shine off it all... think I'll write in a letter or something... just not on

That's dreadful!! I can't believe she didn't even tell you all was well. What a completely useless b*tch Definitely write and complain. Some nhs workers are horrible (that's why I ended up leaving my nhs job).

I hope you don't get her again when you go in a few weeks time! If you do, insist on seeing someone else.

aww hun so osrry to hear it wasn't a nice experience for you, i hope the next one is better but theres no excusing that like you say some people are in the wrong job it should be a humbling and proud job to be able to give someone good news like that xx

Thats horrible, although people like that work in hopitals all over the place, how they have i'll never know. I hope your next scan is done by someone else and i'd write a letter of complaint as theres no need to be rude to people like that
