Well about 5.30 tonight I was sat at my back door watching Amy trying to skip with her new skipping rope, Jack was happily playing with his toy arch while strapped in his buggy.
Amy was struggling to get the hang of the skipping rope so i told her to fetch it over and i would help her to hold it properly.
As she came running over she got the rope caught on the buggy, she started tugging and before i could get up she had pulled Jacks buggy over sideways
Needless to say Jacks head went with a bang on the concrete path as the sides of the buggy are only material (so it's backrest can adjust) And OMG i nearly passed out He was screaming like i have never heard before, the poor boy hardly took a breath and the side of his head went HUGE! it was really swollen.
Amy was crying through the shock and panic of it all, Andy hadn't arrived home from work and i started to go on a mega downer and started doubting myself as a good mother!
After he calmed down he was starting to nod off, so i paniced as i always got told not to let them sleep after a bang on the head. Took him to A&E and they gave him the all clear as he was smiling by the time we got there.
One thing that did baffle me was she said that it's natural for a child to nod off after a bang to the head, but you must let them sleep!! Oh how things change!
I still feel really bad and i just want to cry at the fact i couldn't protect poor Jack
