Im just over 8 weeks at the moment and will be 12 weeks on my wedding day and am worried what to do about buying a dress I have found one I like but have to order it over internet so need to allow for delivery and time to return it and get new one sent out so really need to order it now but dont know what size to order! Usually I'm a size 12 but if the sizing is small occasionally a 14 round the hips but always 12 on top, at the moment alot of my trousers are tight already so surely by 12 weeks a 12 round the waist and hips wont fit, but dont want it to be too big on top my boobs are alot bigger then they were but still fit comfortably into a size 12 top! Do I just order up a 14 and hope for the best? And if it is abit loose now is it likely to fit by then?

I guess mostly what Im asking is how much we're you guys showing at 12 weeks?

Im just 11 weeks, and i think me and my husband are the only ones who can actually 'see' that im pregnant. All my own clothes still fit, but are getting a little more snug.
everyone is different, but i think by 12 weeks i'll still be in my regular clothes, and a wedding dress will hide it anyways at that point. How about get one that laces up at the back in a size 12 then you have a little leway :D

well i got married at 20 weeks, with a size 12 dress without any alterations.. but it was laced up at the back, so i think that defently helped

Hey,

Congratulations! Double wammy you lucky thing!

I'm usually a 10-12 and am currently wearing size 14 leggings (correction: living in them) because none of my other trousers fit...

...I shouldn't think you would grow too much in 4 weeks but you never know. It's so hard to judge A) because everyone is different and B) 4 weeks in first tri is quite a time for things to change!

Sorry I can't help, but if it were me, I would personally get the size that fits you now...

Ohh and you'll definitely have to post pics of the big day :D

xx

If you got a dress a size bigger you could always get it altered before the big day. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, think is easier to sort a dress thats a little too big then too small! Thanks for all the advice and congratulations!!!

I'm 12 weeks in a couple of days and I'm the same size as you (12) and things are only just starting to get tight on the bottoms...bras were a problem a couple fo weeks ago.

This might not help if you've already got your heart set on something, but a partnership company that I have worked with a couple of years do some really nice dresses and can do made measure, plus fast delivery too (some orders I've placed have arrived the next day, if not then within 2-3days was the max) and they don the same for all my friends. web address is www.q-pid.co.uk

Hope that is of some use.

Lucie x
