weather - Thursday

BLOODY WEATHER! I had to go out today and the wind was so strong it nearly had my buggy over so i was fighting with it and misjudged the curb kicked it now my big toe on my right foot is black and cant move it, going to docs tomorrow to see if its broken! NOT HAPPY its got frozen onion rings strapped to it :x :x :x

just looked out my kichen window & 3 of my fences pannels have been blown over. plus my plastic garden furniture is up the other end of the garden!!

:x

stupid wind.

i work in home insurance, and popped into the office to introduce alice today, and all the claims handlers are working stupid amounts of overtime!!! this wind is causing soo much damage.

had to drive to a training course in slough today. took me twice as long to get back, as one of the roads was blocked by a tree so got diverted - then got lost (as i don't know slough very well)

eventually got home and there was a message from my son that he couldn't get home from school cos the train line was blocked, so had to go and pick him up.

and the train line in the other direction is also blocked, so will have to go back out and pick hubby up somewhere between here and hammersmith -depending on far he can get.

boo hoo :(

omg we had to go into croydon for our photos and i had Jamie in the sling with him all wrapped up - we nearly got blown away!!!!
and cos of the pressure of the wind he couldnt breathe so i held his head in but him being a nosy bugger had to look around and nearly suffocate himself!!!!

It so awful out there. Reports on Sky saying 7 people have died  so sad.
My friend drove to Guildford today, the silly cow, the road there is lined with trees & it takes about 40 mins. She's got a 2 months old  just scare me silly about all the what if's.

There has been 4 deaths in the North West, one man was killed near us repairing his fence

My OH took dog into local park this afternoon, and was knocked off his feet by a 10t x 6ft sheet of corrugated roof sheeting, it whacked him in the leg, which somersaulted him in the air and he landed on his shoulder and elbow!! He has a right lump on his leg where it hit him, and he is feeling right sorry for himself..

My best friend has rag me in tears too, all her ridge tiles have blown off her roof...its been really quite bad round here

my dads eucalyptus tree was bent double today :)

My brother drives a new model Audi A4, convertable.

He went to work as usual today (he's a jeweller in the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham.) Anyway, his mate had parked in his usual spot, so he parked closer to the building.
When he got back to the car this evening, loads of roof tiles had been blown off the roof and smashed the windscreen, punched LOAD of HUGE holes in the roof and dented and scratched all of the bodywork.

I feel so bad for him! I think the people that own the car park (and the building) are going to pay to get it all fixed but it'll take weeks!

I'll post pics when he sends them to me, I can't wait to see it myself

OMG its been horrible to day i was walking to the docs and had to hold on to a tree as it was soooo windy, and the tree was bending :?
