The time has come for me to think about weaning Molly onto formula. I am pretty sad about it, but I think it's time. We have done 7 months ebf, despite me returning to work (part time) at 5 weeks. However, I run a large dance school, and will be back to teaching 4 evenings per week, plus Saturdays. I managed to express enough to keep going, but I was needing to get up 3hrs before needing to be at work, in order to fit in a feed, an expressing session, getting ready etc, and as soon as I got in (late), I would have to express, ad well as eat dinner, and do emails etc. I'm not sure I can do it enough to ensure that she had enough milk when she's in childcare. :( I feel a little selfish, but running your own business and exclusively breastfeeding is tough, and I never expected to go for this long. And as a dance teacher, it's not like I can excuse myself from lessons to go and express!

She will be nearly 8months by the time I stop, but I don't have enough freezer stock to last too long. I guess I should be happy I went on as long as I did, I just can't help feel sad. :(

You have done amazingly well.....well done. Such an achievement to breast feed for 7 months and managing to go back to work too? I have my hats off to you being so determined and getting up extra early to fit in expressing. It's bloody hard work but so worth it when you see how healthy and happy your little one is. And your totally not selfish. It's such a demanding thing.

I'm thinking it will be hard to give up whenever I decide. Already feeling guility! I'm gonna be in the same boat when I go back to work in November but I'm hoping ill be able to mix feed breast feed when I'm home and formula for nursery (as I can't express much)

It's such an emotional thing is breastfeeding. I think I will def cry when I stop, and then feel guilty.......but it would be hard whenever you stop, even if baby decided to self wean at toddler age!

Well done though Hun xxxx

First of all well done hun! Please dont feel guilty, you have done so well! Think about it, only 2% of women exclusively breastfeed at 6 months...
Have you thought of just doing one feed or so? I mixed fed my son until 14 months.

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

If possible, I'd love to still do the morning feed. That's what I stillbirth, I think. Hopefully it will work! :)

Well done to you. You should be really proud of what you've achieved! X
