morning ladies!!

So Jack has been introuduced to porridge and some pureed organic jars of baby f ood now for about 6weeks (he's 23 weeks tomorrow). Just recently though he has started going down earlier (about 8ish after a bath and bottle) and starts stirring/waking at 4am. He has slept through from 7weeks until 6am so it's not 'normal' for him. I have only been giving him half a jar at a time as a full one looks a lot. Do you think I should try the full jar? He isn't quite sitting up on his own yet and gags if he has anything more 'chunky' than a puree so I haven't tried him with any finger food as I feel he isn't ready for it.

Any advice appreciated as I am starting back in work next month one day a week then full-time from September so need to have this weaning stuff cracked before he goes to the childminder!!

Thanks :)

Hiya. I think a while jar seems quite alot in a baby so young but you know your lo so do whatever you feel is right. What about giving a half jar and a pudding? Or mixing up your own fruit/veg purses and introducing an extra meal during the day. Not sure though as I have discovered with my lo that just when I think I've got him sussed and into a routine that works for all of us he changes the goalposts! Usually the problems are shortly followed by a new tooth though (he's 10 months). Good luck x
