Well Callums 5 months today so im going to start getting everything ready for weaning these next couple of weeks..
So that when that scary time of 6 month comes well be ready
Seeing as you've got to 6 months I would be tempted to skip the baby rice stage Have you read up on BLW? Evie much prefers finger food and for us it's definately the way to go.
If you are going to make your own purees you'll need a food processer, freezer pots. I steam all Evie's veg- it's really easy and nutrionally better.
Either way you'll need spoons and bowls- I got all my stuff from Tesco because it was much cheaper than mothercare.
Good Luck! Look forward to hearing about Callum's progress in the Weaning threads! xxx
And a good one to start with is steamed apples or pear, or steamed sweet potato.
make sure that you only indtroduce 1 food at a time and give it a few days before you introduce another.
Ive got some great recipes ill get them later and pm you with them with instructions if you like.
I started at 4 months but i went straight onto sweet potato. She now eats every kind of veg. Sweet potato and carrot were good to start on coz they're quite sweet.
I shopped in poundland and woolworths for the pots and spoons. Bargains.
