Our washing machine is on its way out, has been for a while now but its getting worse and worse.

We are going to start looking about for a washing machine but don't know what to buy... we ave a service at the min and there is no way on this earth I want another, I used to have one b4 moving in with Lee and mine was just as bad as his... Ive looked at the "moon" but just dont know what to get???

what would you advice?? I want a decent one even more so for when we have a baby in the house?

thanking youuu xx

Do a google search for comet clearance... we got ours from them and it is all ex-display models. Our was like £100 cheaper just because it didnt come with the original box. We have a Bosch

yes I have a Bosch too. My mam always swears they're good. True enough I've never had any problems with it.

Dont go for Hotpoint

I do not recommend them at all :?
I bought a hotpoint a few years back and also got it covered for four years for repairs and parts. Well i am glad i did the bloody thing has broken down on me no less than about 15 times.
The warranty has now expired so i am just waiting for it to breakdown again
OH has promised me a new machine when it does happen

We have a Hotpoint. In the 1st 2 years of it's life we had 10 callouts!!! They service guy knew our address off by heart! My towels now are holey and black! I cannot afford a new one so have to make do! Actually considering a trip to Brighthouse for one.

Yeah the service guy knows me now

Hotpoint have a history of their machines putting holes in clothes, thankfully that hasnt happened with mine as yet.
At the moment my machine sounds as if it is about to take off when it spins its so loud

Gonna have me a proper good look around when i get a new one. I am (well OH  ) is prepared to pay for a decent one as long as it lasts.

yeah we cant hear the telly when it goes off on a cycle and every time we wanna use it we have to spin it first cause it fills up with water... if you dont spin cycle is every day then it fills up and starts leaking :wall: :wall:

Do you live in a flat hun? It could eb to do with your water pressure

I had this issue once where it would fill with water and i would have to put the spin on to get rid before a wash.
Finally the bloke said it was something to do with the water pressure and that the valve needed adjusting and then all was fine, no more water filling the drum

I want the LG Steam but that will have to wait till I win the lotto or something haha  Maybe next year! ;) I just need the 9kg hold haha and the big doors and the lack of creasing it says you get!!

oh great! we've just spent a small fortune on an integrated Hotpoint washing machine! no problems so far though... never ever buy an Indesit, i've had 3 & they are crap :talkhand:

Highly recommend Bosch!

Hotpoint - well - say no more :shakehead:

DO NOT get a HOTPOINT :talkhand:

I have a washer/dryer and it has broken down again the third time in 6 weeks. I will be on the phone to them later on kicking off as yesterday the useless piece of cr@p leaked all over my kitchen

It was great until I had Sam it obviously cannot cope with the extra washes I have to do

Oh dear, now u post this!! I've just bought a hotpoint washer & dryer :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
