Washing machine smells funny!

Was going to try putting a wash on with bleach but Just realised there's none left, OH will bring some in later on but could I put some caustic soda in the tray and put it on a hot wash to see if it helps? I'm scared to try it without knowing if it's ok incase I totally bugger the thing up lol x

Is it because your pregnant? Im convinced mine smells of onions, but no one else can smell it

Hahaha it is a bit like onions actually! It smells like cooking and it's giving me the boak lol

How long have you had the machine? Mines gone like this I'm ready for a new one.

If you bleach seriously give that machine a good few cycles and wipte around the inside of the doors (rubber bits) with a cloth.

I've just been giving my Mum our washing, good excuse eh

I'm not sure how long it's been here, we've been renting the flat for nearly a year but the washing machine was here before us! Didn't end up using the bleach, was worried incase I messed the thing up lol

Does yours smell like onions too?

Have you taken the filter out to check it's not clogged up? Mine started stinking and there was loads of stale water in the bottom of the machine cos it was a bit blocked Make sure you put lots of old towels down first though lol!

No I haven't done that, will do it when I'm home I tried to once and I opened it a tiny bit and the water started pouring out so I just shut it lol!

Lol yeah it does pour out but it will stop after a while! Then what I do is leave it open and tip hot water into the drawer - it should run straight out the bottom again if the machine is clear

Not onions but yer off if I don't keep cleaning it YUK but the smell can be more to the pregnant lady
