Warning mini rant

I apologise in advance for mini rant. Why is it so damn difficult to get a coil removed!! Doctors line constantly busy can't even get an answer, rang the sexual health clinic got to wait till December for an appointment, went walk in clinic today and told you need to be there before 9 or they won't see you and even then they might not. Wth!! I want yo try for a baby god damn it! Before DH changes his mind lol
I'm going yo be ovulating in just over a week and I don't want to waste that opportunity =(

Oh i see that's out the question then.
Do you live far from your doctors? Is is worth taking a drive there when you can to book it in instead of ringing as the lines are always busy?

They don't allow over the counter bookings (tried the other day) only phone or online but they're still rolling out the online system and not got to me yet =(

Oh how frustrating!

I havent been on the coil or any kind of contraception, but from what i have read you will need to wait for your withdrawal bleed anyway, so will be very unlikely you would catch this cycle, but that doesnt stop you wanting it out sooner i know.

FX it comes out very soon.x

Just keep calling until you are finally able to get through

FX it comes out very soon.x

I won't have withdrawal bleed as non hormonal so can start straight away. If I ever get it out lol

Maybe you can get it done privately? I wouldn't ever try removing something from your womb yourself as you risk infection or worse. I Googled it and found a place in Fleet Street, London, where they remove it in 15 mins for £104. I imagine you still need an appointment but it could be quicker.

Managed to get through to a local Gum clinic and I'm booked in for 12th November, might keep trying to get it done sooner but at least I have a date

I had a horrible time getting my coil removed too. The doctor spent longer telling me all the terrible things that could happen than it actually took to remove the coil! Did a smear at the same time and she convinced me I would either get a no-result or have cancer just because I had some spotting. Spent a week convinced I was dying despite every woman I know saying spotting after a smear is really common before it turned out fine. She also told me to come back in a year when I don't get pregnant. Not if. When. What a negative nelly!

Yeah that's where I went today and they said unless I go at 9am and wait a non specified amount of time I wouldn't get seen.
