I'm not using formula, just expressed milk but I wasnt sure about warming it. I know that for formula you are supposed to put the bottle in boiling water til its hot and not in a microwave as you might get 'hot spots' but if its properly shaken up and left to cool for a while is the microwave still a total no no? How are formula feeders managing at night if you have to go and boil a kettle and then wait etc? Surely there must be a quicker way otherwise i cant imagine anyone formula feeding as my baby yells til I feed him if he wakes up hungry.

I have expressed a few times and just given it to him cold (well at room temperature as i havent yet managed to do enough to bother putting it in a fridge, he usually gets given it a hour or so after i expressed it.

I'm breastfeeding and formula feeding at the moment and I've got a Tommee Tippee bottle warmer - it's a godsend!!
I take it up to my bedroom every night with me and it's so much easier and quicker then coming downstairs to boil water etc.

So depending on what bottles you're using, i recommend a bottle warmer!

You don't microwave breast milk because it kills off a lot of the good bits so you might as well not give itS you should also never shake, just swill around.

If I'm heating enmity, I just run it under hot water to take the chill off x

I just put it in aa jug of boiling water for a few mins.

I put in microwave and make sure not too hot and shaken well! X
