Waiting To Ovulate ~July/Aug~

I am incredibly impatient this cycle!
So...I decided to start a waiting to ovulate thread - so anyone who feels like waiting around with me, please join on in!

I have a good feeling about this cycle (and yes, I might be setting myself up for disappointment but after so many bfn's who the hell cares )

TMI ALERT!!!! I am very pleasantly surprised by DH's increase in sex drive after his little op - it caught me completely off guard last night and the premular I'm taking to regulate my cycle is really helping me to ovulate more regularly. All in all....I'd say that I am very optimistic about this cycle!

I’m due to ovulate soon, within the next 5-7 days if my calculations are correct

For us, this is the first month we can actively start TTC as DH recently had a vasectomy reversal. I’m super excited and feeling quite optimistic too

My expected ovulation date is - 23rd July

You must be so thrilled that it's your first active TTC cycle. Are you guys using preseed or anything like that?
I still have some left so we'll try it for extra measure. I know that the realistic thing for me to do is to know it might take six months but I'm a forever optimist hehehhe

Yes, we are going to use preseed starting from tonight, it’s quite doubtful that there’s any live swimmers there yet as it’s only been 2 weeks since VR but I’m feeling optimistic

FX for you too let’s hope we both get a BFP soon

I am pretty much the same as you ladies, 4 days to go until i start my second bout of opk's - i am actually excited to really really pin point ovulation this month, so really want to see the progression of the tests - sad or what

I’ve been doing the opk’s for 3 days already this month I’m CD14 now and have a stronger line on my opk today it’s definitely not positive yet but I’m hoping it will be soon.

I’ve started vitamin b complex (50mg) this month to lengthen my 10 day luteal phase so maybe (hopefully) I’ll ovulate a little earlier.

Good luck everyone! I’m due to ovulate within the next 7-10 days, I’ve always ovulated around day 14 but the last 2 cycles since my m/c it’s been day18 so I’ll start doing opk’s as soon as I get ewcm! Gonna attempt Preseed or conceive plus this month too, fingers crossed for us all!

I am also waiting to ovulate! I find the wait to ovulate so much harder then the 2ww!
This is my first proper cycle since miscarriage at the end of May, it took 6 weeks for my period to come back again and now I’m on CD11, no idea when I’m going to ovulate, done an opk yesterday which was quite a dark second line but not positive, today the line is lighter, just gonna have to keep testing and see what happens, I’m usually regular with ovulation on around CD16 so I hope my cycle gets back to normal soon

I've never actively tried until now so don't really know much about the testing. Always knew when was fertile time due to ewcm. Feel like I'll start next month if this isn't a bfp. I may have questions for u all to understand when to test n what to do. I hope thats OK. Are there any particular tests anyone recommends?

I am new to ovulating testing too I just bought cheap ones from Amazon

I am using an app to use as a guide which says I'm due to be fertile in 2 days but ovulating in 8 days but its really hard for me as my partner has problems ejaculating he can do it in a tub for me to put in a syringe so we have tried that this month

I'm absolutely rubbish with OPKs! Lol did one tonight and used an App to help me make sense of it. My test line never quite gets darker than the control. I have only ever had a + OPK with a CB Digi and they are just too expensive to use unless I'm almost certain that I'm at my most fertile. My cervix has indicated that I'm not quite there yet even though my opk is pretty dark already. Low (touching on medium) : medium : closed

Hubbies not home from thursday to Sunday and FF estimates that my fertile window starts Monday so I'm hoping that I don't go and O when he's not here lol

I got a whole bundle of opk's from ebay - only a few pounds. I will try and do three a day, purely just for curiosity sakes, so I can see the progressive changes right up to when I get my solid line, which I think will be around the 25th / 26th / 27th.

I would say if the line isn't far off the control line and the darkest you have ever see, then definitely

Maybe do a few a day and see what happens - thats what I am planning to do as last month I was a bit sporadic and this month I wasn't to really ensure I know when my surge is

So I have the Ovia app - download that and go from there. You just need to put in your periods and it will work it out for you and you can just add symptoms and bits when you go along. Its been a helpful guide for me and last month I was able to add my day of ovulation as I could feel the day it was.

As for opks, I wee in a cup and place them in up to the line for 5 seconds and then leave it for a few mins - think it might even be 10 - can't actually remember, then you will see a line of some kind. The line you want is a line thats exactly the same as a control line - you then need to - so before this day you will see a darkish line, which tells you, you are close. I got my first few boxes from pound land and they worked fine, then went an ordered a whole load from ebay this time round.

Its almost like a pregnancy test in itself

My partner and I don't have massive sex drives, well he reckons he does so I would rather know I am doing it at the right time

I am just grasping the whole ovulation thing. I won't bother with temping either, I just think thats an additional extra, but I am sure I can feel when I ovulate.

I get the one step ovulation tests from amazon, I find them really good and they are cheap & just get delivered in the post in a plain envelope, they come within 4 days, I don’t bother temping or checking cervical positions, I can never tell with the cervical thing, but I do check cervical mucus which I find to be a very reliable indicator, I start the ovulation tests around CD10, usually get a positive around CD15, usually do the deed around CD12, CD14 and CD16, that’s been successful for us twice in three goes (although one was a chemical and one was a blighted ovum at 10 weeks)

Me & my OH have been together for donkeys years we’d quite happily only do the deed once a week, if that lol, so I’m never gonna catch the egg ‘not trying not preventing’ which is why I’m doing the ovulation tests

Us too!! 🙂 16 years just over.
Downloaded ovia - seems like a cool app. There is so much to it that I didn't expect. Thanks for the recommendation.
