Waiting for AF after CP... anyone else?

Okay so I have moaned about this endlessly this month, so really sorry if people are reading this again!
It has been 28 days since I first started bleeding with CP, I bled for roughly 10 days (the last three days being more spotting) and I haven't had any sign of ovulation (currently doing opks and checking bbt as well as CM and checking my cervix) and we have been doing the BD just incase even though no sign of O so pretty much know it won't happen this month.

I just want AF to arrive now so I can get back on to checking my cycle from CD1 confidently and get on a 2WW. This waiting is driving me bonkers and it feels like I am just wasting time massively. Anyone else waiting for AF after a loss? I am having some creamy cm the last couple of days but no sore boobs, no mood swings, nothing I would normally get before AF which technically should be any day now. But is it going to be a 6WW? ARGH!
Sorry for the rant I just need someone to talk to who is going through this waiting game

If you haven't ovulated this month you might have a long wait for AF (sorry). Anov cycles are often more than 40 days as it's not hormones from an unfertilised egg triggering your bleed, it's just your uterine lining getting too thick and unstable. I hope I'm wrong and you get AF very soon though!!

On the other hand, have you done a HPT? Ovulation symptoms aren't always solid and it's very easy to miss a surge... sometimes no sign of AF can be the first sign of pregnancy.

I really hope you get an answer soon. I know how you feel, I've been there. It's so hard xx

Thanks for your reply! Sorry to hear that you have been here, but glad that you are on the other side and can give me some advice. I didn't actually realise that is why it is taking so long so it's good to know why I am in for a longer wait.

I did a FRER this morning in the hopes that I was wrong but not so much as a squinter of a line so safe to say I am just waiting this one out.

The only strange thing I have had is my BBT has steadily gone up and is staying up which I thought could mean I was pregnant but who knows to be honest. I am trying to keep myself busy but like I said earlier it feels massively like wasted time where we could be trying.

I went through the same thing right after my CP. I normally had a 28 day cycle and the very next cycle was 37 with the normal pms symptoms.

Don't fret, your body is just trying to get back to normal.

Aw, sorry that your test was negative. You're probably stuck waiting it out then. I wasn't TTC when this happened to me (wasn't preventing though) and really thought I was pregnant! It motivated us to start TTC so I know how annoying it is waiting it out. I think it was 43 days for me :/

It is actually normal to miss ovulation up to twice a year, which I never knew!
