I am so chuffed !!!!
Got up and expressed 2 oz this morning for the first time!!
I wasnt going to do this morning, but when I was changing my breastpad I was leaking like mad, so I thought well Ill have ago, and it was so easy to pump off I got it in about 10 mins !!

lol I know this propberly aint a big deal to most but I could barely get 1oz before in 25/30mins.

I feel a great sense of achievement

How come it can take you that long Helen? is it to with the let down? I think the only reason I could do it today was because I was engorged on the one side as she had been feeding from the other side for most of night.

im not sure! i think i don't relax enough to do it successfully.
i hired a big cow like milking machine 9 years ago when i had emily from 'la Leche' and it worked a treat though. I just can't get on withthe hand pump ones.

Ebs I am using a tommie tippie hand pump, it seems to be working, its all in the pump action ladies

I try and mimic her sucking and I think about her or feed her at the same time. I always get st least 1 let down but today got 2

ive never tried a battery one either. the one i hired was 9 years ago and it plugged into the mains! it was massive! i have a photograph ill find it out to give you all a laugh

Well done. Most ever I have done is 3 oz. but now I cant get anything. Even if he has not been feeding from me. When he stays out the night I need to get him really early. I have to force feed him wether he is hungry or not to ease the pian!

my body got used to what he needed. this was only at 9 months so you have plenty of pumping time left! Also I just got fed up of it so I could not relax, and did not get a let down.

when madison was in special care the had this fantastic breast pump by the time madi was 3 days old i expressed 4oz from on boob! i really wish i could of afforded one of them
