Very eary pregnant!!!!

I have never done this before so sorry everyone a real novice!!!!
We have been trying for our 1st baby for a while am an older mum to be and I am very scared!!!!
Did a test tues and it was positive (only 4 weeks today!!) do you think I have jumped the gun read in my book that sometimes a pos test becomes neg when it doesn't inplant itself???? Went to my doctors and her test was neg!
Excessive I know but 4 tests were positive.... anyboby??????

What test did you use??

Is it past the first day of your next period??

Not many girls on here get a false + but some tests that we use at home are very sensitive and if you've had 4 + then it's looking good have you got any photos?

I wouldn't stress hun.
I think 4 weeks is long enough for the egg to implant.
I got my BFP last time at 3 weeks and 5 days i think it was and it stayed put!!
I have also seen some girls on here get their BFP earlier than that and they have went on to have their babies.

Hi I am an older mum too! I will be 37 in May.

I already have 2 teenage kids from my first marriage and this will be our second baby together (sadly we lost our first at 23 weeks last year)

There is so much more to think about when you are older!!! but everyone on here is so supportive, its a great place.

I had quite an early bfp, but it grew stronger, you will become more confident as the pregnancy progresses our bubs have to start somewhere

thank you all so much for replying its a very scary time and we have not told many people.
Did another test this morning and its still positive!!!
Period was either due -1 or +2!!!
Just scares me as 38 next month.
Its my 1st pregnanct too.
You all seem so friendly.

I'm a first time older Mum to be also. I'm 37 No idea about my dates really as although hubby and I were trying to conceive we'd only just started so hadn't even thought about best times of month, ovulation and all that. I think I was about 14 days overdue when I tested and it came out very clear. Wasn't expecting it to be any different tbh as I had lots of symptoms. I only tested once more a few days later even though I knew I was well and truly PG, I just wanted to double check

Being older and PG for the first time has not proved so bad for me. Hopefully you'll have a good experience also. I had a crappy first tri with nausea 24/7 and a few other things, but second and third tris have been good overall. I've stayed active, eaten well, gave up caffeine and have not drunk any alcohol etc. Not stressed overly and tried to remain level headed about everything that has happened to my body since becoming PG.

Its a strange but wonderful thing to be PG later in life I am finding. I'm sure it is any time, but being older, I guess it puts a slightly different perspective on things.

When you make your ticker you'll get a few sets of code to use in your profile. Usually you want the one for BB boards and you simply copy and paste it into your profile signature .

There is a thread on how to etc here also

Have a peek at any past post to view it and if its not quite right (ie you can still see some odd bits of code) just go back and edit it or copy the code over again Any problems post in the Ticker thread and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
