Morning ladies...

All my bag and baby's bag is packed now apart from my dressing gown and nighties and 2 bath towells which i'm not sure i'm gonna fit in my little bag haha, but at least most of it's done now.

Yesterday I realised I diddn't have anything to bring my baby home in, because all my baby clothes start from 0-3, the only newborn things I have are what people have given to me, and i wanted something new to take in hospital so I bought this really cute dress and actually found some newborn tights :cheer: never seen them anywhere before!

My mum and dad are in spain now, well on their way, and i'm staying here until they get back so my bags are here...everything seems so real now it's weird lol.

Been having loads of braxton hicks 2 nights ago, then had a few last night :cheer: come on baby, almost 37 weeks now!!!

I'm gonna take the advice of my ticker I think (the bottom one) so OH is having it when he gets back :rotfl:

i hope baby doesn't come while your parents are away though jade

keep your legs crossed till they get back. :rotfl: poor hubby!

glad you are feeling good though!

My Mum isnt coming in with me anyways, my sister and oh are coming with me, i have emergancy money put up for a taxi if i need it too

well mind u, I want my Mum to see my baby before my m-i-l  My m-i-l wants to come and wait in the waiting room, which I have no problem with but knowing her she will bring the whole p****** family!!! So i'm gonna tell my Mum to come and wait in the waiting room too, so she can hold her before my m-i-l lol!

me and hev was the same, had only 0-3 and no newborn, we didnt think madi would be here early lol, i went and done a little shopping yesterday and picked up a few cute bits and some of those really small tommee tippee bottles, where did ya get the tights???, me and hev could only find bigger ones before

ooo i wouldn't advise anyone waiing in the hospital jade. you may not want all the attention after the event.

Go in with one or two persons and then when the babys born phone round who you want to visit you first. Thats my advice anyway.

You may not want visitors until you've had awash and stuff.

yeah i might just tell my m-i-l to wait at home because i could have a long labour and she might get bored, go home and not be there. Then that way i can ring my mum first  to give her a head start :cheer: muhahaha

ricky, i found the tights at george in asda, they were £2 for 1 pair but they are really cute.

Another thing, can u actually have a shower after the birth? My sister said they don't let u incase u faint or something... might just be my hospital but i hope not!

I had a shower after Ella's birth, but did almost faint, it was horrible :puke:

I had a lovely soak in the bath afterward :D

After my labour they woudn't let me have a shower or bath, because I was already feeling faint and would have to be accompanied - I don't think any of the nurses could be bothered! It was horrid, the first thing I did when I got home was jump in the bath. I think my case is an exception, though, I don't know of anyone else who has been refused a bath or shower, in fact they normally encourage it.
