Okay, so I think a lot, and I often think too much, but I have a few questions there aren't really answers for that I can find, so I thought I'd ask them here and get opinion answers instead.

Could eating a lot of chocolate effect fertilisation? As in so much your heart races and it makes you hot and you need to fall to sleep afterwards. So really bingeing on chocolate.

This one is a very weird question, but when you go for a number 2, is it possible to push the fertilised egg out before its implanted?

Trust me, I can think of more, but I'll leave it at this for now!

I always think that if it is going to implant and stick, then nothing will affect it :-)

Buttt I would be careful with your chocolate, just because I know from my PCOS that too many sugary foods can affect your hormones. I don't think the second one is possible but I am no dr, ha xx

I've already eaten 20 quality street today. Once they are open I can't help myself! :oooo:

Q1: I doubt there's any direct link between chocolate and fertility, but eating so much of anything that your heart races and you need to lie down can't be a good thing imo. And I'm no stranger to chocolate!! I'd say treat yourself to a bar of choc if you fancy one but when it comes to ttc a balanced, healthy diet is your best bet.

Q2: No medical expert by any means, but I your bowels and your uterus are in no way connected. It's different when you're in labour and pushing a baby because there's so much baby in there squishing everything else that the odd poop is totally understandable - but that's more of a space issue than a biology one. At implantation stage your uterus and your bowels have no connection at all, so it'd be impossible to push out a fertilised egg before its implanted just by having a poo!

xx

My lovely there is no way that going for a number 2 will affect your egg. They are completely different systems in your body. As for the chocolate, it's better to try and eat healthily when trying to conceive but a chocolate binge won't affect your egg at all.

Try and relax. I believe when It's your time it will happen. In the kindest way possible I think you should do some research on conception as it will help you feel more informed and therefore more relaxed. Best of luck. X

Thank you for your answers everyone. :)

These are the questions I'd be too embarrassed to say to anyone in person.

Hi theshipscat, I have a science degree and so am fascinated with the way things work. Could you recommend a good place to read the science of conception? My science is the wrong science for this area. It's environmental so nothing to do with biology but I'd love to know the biology rather than the theory I know now.

My period ended 4 days ago and today I noticed pink discharge when I wiped and also my breasts have been tender all day. My fiancé and I have been having intercourse since it ended and before it came as well. Could I possibly be pregnant?

You should cut out your caffeine in 2 ww or limit it to 200 or less. Chocolate does contain caffeine.
I try to avoid it in the 2 ww xxx

Thank you. My new challenge is no chocolate! I can do it. I'm a bit of an addict so cold turkey is the only way. I don't drink coffee or tea and I don't drink any fizzy drinks so this is my only major issue!
